GALLATIN, TN (May 5, 2026) – CFC Recycling has acquired Goolsby & Sons Recycling, a longtime family-owned scrap and recycling institution in Gallatin, Tennessee. The move marks a significant step in CFC’s continued growth across Middle Tennessee and deepens its commitment to delivering reliable, community-centered recycling solutions.
For years, Goolsby & Sons has been a cornerstone of the Gallatin area’s recycling landscape, earning a reputation for straight-dealing, lasting customer relationships, and genuine investment in the community it serves. Under CFC’s ownership, the business will continue operating with its familiar team intact, now backed by expanded resources, stronger logistics, and broader capabilities.
“We’re proud to carry forward the legacy Goolsby & Sons has built in Gallatin,” said Andrew Rice, President of CFC Recycling. “Our goal is straightforward: keep taking care of the customers who’ve trusted this business for years, and make recycling easier, more reliable, and more rewarding for everyone who comes through the gate.”
The acquisition positions CFC to better serve the full spectrum of Gallatin-area customers, from manufacturers and contractors managing large volumes of job site scrap to individuals dropping off household metals. The focus is on a no-hassle experience that puts more value back in customers’ pockets.
“Gallatin is a growing market, and Goolsby & Sons has already done the hard work of earning the community’s trust,” said Alex Rice, President at CFC Transportation. “Our job now is to build on that foundation, investing in the location, the team, and the services that keep customers coming back. We will be closing the facility to the public to renovate the space in order to elevate the customer experience and efficiency.Â
As recycling demand across the region continues to rise, CFC Recycling remains focused on making it simple and worthwhile for businesses and individuals to recycle responsibly, reduce waste, and keep valuable materials in circulation.
